The second literary
magazine of Woodward Academy, Silent Voices was first published as the
“official literary magazine” in 1981. The faculty advisor for the
first sixteen volumes was Carolyn Haldeman, a longtime member of the English
Department. In 1991 Chris Greenway, Chairman of the Visual Arts Department,
became the Art Editor.
Scope and Content:
chronological order, the collection consists of copies of Silent Voices,
the literary and art magazine published by the students of Woodward.

of annual Silent Voices began in 1997 and continued through periodic accrual
of department records transfer from Student Publications and the staff
of Silent Voices.
