Biographical/Historical Note:
Gordon Lee Perkins (1911-deceased, n.d.) was born in Petersburg, Virginia. He attended Georgia Military Academy for one year, September, 1929 until May, 1930.

Scope and Content:
The collection consists of 21 pieces of uniform used by Perkins as a GMA cadet, 1929-1930. The artifacts include dress uniform pieces, pressed cuffs and collars, two dress coats, red fabric armbands, four pairs of trousers, white cotton gloves, and brass buckle. Included of interest is a wooden sign with “Perkins” painted, a clay ashtray from the 40th class reunion in 1970, and a pair of black leather leggings. These items were donated to the school many years before and were displayed for years in the glass cases in McKay Hall. Items were transferred to the Archives by the Development/ Alumni Affairs Office.
